I grew up loving football, and it's the only thing I think about to relieve my worries or my anxieties. Every Saturday night, I just forget about any courseworks which is due in 2 days or any 'don't leave it to the last minute' concerns. It's just watching footie which makes me feel great. I was a very bright person in school. The teachers told me I have huge potential. But I never really get high grades. I never really made it into a good university. And I didn't even go to university. I wanted to do something which involves football and studying how to draw a cupboard doesn't really work. Dad loves football, but mum is the opposite. Dad cherishes it, but mum hated it. But I like it that way. Because of that, I could spend time with my mum talking about my concerns and later talk to my dad about the match we watched on Sunday. Mum wanted me to be a lawyer but dad wanted me to become a football player. Speaking of becoming a football player, I failed in that. When I was young, I was rapid, I meant rapid. But an unfortunate event happened. I broke my left leg and my right ankle. I needed surgery. And it meant that I could not run as fast as I could again. That hurts me, and from that day, I gave up. I knew it that I couldn't play football professionally. But I ended up as a coach assistant for my own year, and because of my colossal knowledge of football, I managed to success in that. We blooded some good players, and some of them went on to continue on playing football in professional terms. Instead of leaving school after finishing it, I was offered to coach the 1st team football, and I could not reject it. It ended up me coaching them for 5 years, which saw the team going through the golden years of football. Our school played incredibly football and we won endless local trophies. That spurred me on, and I left that role at the age of 24 knowing that my ambitions is as alive as ever. My mum told me that it's the only thing that I could do for a living, while my dad completely supports me. They gave me the green light and I set off as I seek for my first job as soon as possible. |

To fellow readers
I might not be the best writer or the most entertaining one but this will be a realistic managers diary. I will try to keep this as realistic as possible. So don't be surprise if my club gets easily relegated. It might be on purpose The diary will be up and going after I get the new game |

Watch out I'll compete with my own realistic diary
It will be hard to at least come near to your quality though Read My Challenges Diary Here This is my current project. Read My Managing Diary Here Unfortunately I had to quit that one because of game related reasons but feel free to request a diary start (clubs/mode/etc) and I'll do it. |

With a cup of coffee in one hand, I searched through to see which clubs I'm interested in managing. I haven't had the experience of managing a club in the football world yet.
I have shortlisted the clubs which is in an interesting situation and which I could manage.... QUOTE Newcastle United Since Kevin Keegan resigned, Newcastle has been looking for a suitable replacement. Rumours are that Alan Curbishley has been linked, and Newcastle might also expect a surprise return of Sam Alladyce. All the star players like Michael Owen are likely to leave if Newcastle failed to make it into Europe. There's no way they would accept such an inexperienced manager like me, not a chance unless they wanted to take a big gamble, which I'm sure the odds will be against me. So no Premiership clubs just yet. Barnsley Although they had an incredible cup run, they couldn't transform that form they had in the FA Cup into the Championship. Since promotion in 2006, they still couldn't stable themselves into a strong Championship side. An interesting job but Simon Davey is a top lad. I'm not ready for Championship management, just yet. So as well as cutting out for Premiership clubs, Championship clubs is unsuitable for me. Luton Town Chaotic for Luton and their fans, Luton has suffered back-to-back relegations and has been docked 30 points for the 2008/09 season. Luton has been forced to reshuffle their whole team. Luton will have to wait until next season in order to climb up the table again, as they had been docked points for the last two seasons. It will be a huge task, removing the mess, rebuilding the team. The financial is in chaotic. But it would be such a huge task. I just don't think that they would actually trust me on rebuilding the team back. Weymouth FC Weymouth is trying to find new optimism in order to get into the football league. They managed to avoid relegation last season and is looking to build up for the new season. A nice club to start my management career Cambridge United Cambridge came 2nd in the Blue Square Premier, missing out the automatic promotion and also losing in the play-offs final to Exeter City. Since missing out on promotion, Cambrige United saw their manager Jimmy Quinn leaving and lots of players as well. Cambridge will hope to push on for promotion next season. The same with Weymouth, only that we can push the club further with the position the club is in right now. There are more which I have hoped to apply a job for. Only time will tell if anyone wants to accept me. |

The Job Hunt
I applied for lots of clubs, especially the lower leagues so hopefully I would be able to get involve in my new job as soon as possible but each time I have been turn down. Glory at school level couldn’t convince them that I’m right for their job. The job which interests me the most is the job at Weymouth, in the Blue Squares Premier. But they turn me now straight away so I have to look at other places. It was a complete failure, I was left jobless and hadn’t got any job when the football season kicks off. No manager would have wanted to keep faith in my ability to take their club to the next level. They didn't think that an inexperience manager like me would achieve that. Soon I put the job hunt to a halt. I had other ideas. I could be an assistant manager, learn my trades there and soon become a manager! From there, I was offered with a few jobs under the manager's post. At the end I decided to take the opportunity at Aldershot Town. It was a great feeling to be working as the assistant of a manager. Manager of Aldershot Town Charles Bates was delighted to have me. I will be his understudy for the forthcoming season. |

The Right Hand Man
I had never ever knew what would it feel like being assistant manager instead of the actual one. The burden that you have are nothing compare to the manager. The manager has to deal with media presses, the public, the team and everything else. I'm just there to support and learn from him. I get to talk to the players as well, and usually talk to the experience one to get some information on the club itself. I learn a lot of their history and in just a matter of course the new season would begin. Charles Bate arranged the pre-season quite well, organising matches with top-flight clubs for experience, as well as clubs abroad. We notched up a few win and managed to raise our fitness up as quickly as possible. As soon as I arrived, we prepared for our first game of the season against Accrington Stanley. I was very nervous, although Charles always told me that I would be able to shake it off once the season got under way. I never have been involved in professional football before and only the job of assistant manager is a big burden to bear, yet I can't even imagine when I become manager what I would feel like! Thank god we started our season with a win. A 2-1 victory puts our season back on track. Time flies very quickly and I learnt a lot from Charles Bate. We went through a bad form in mid-November but somehow manages a rich vein of goals and wins towards January and got our season back on track. There is a promising sign in striker, who has been our regular goalscorer and is on the course of breaking the 20 goal barrier if his form continues. We are 12th after 40 games, with 5 points behind a play-off spot. Things are going very smoothly for us. But then........ |
